E. Doctor Smith is a drummer, producer, electronic percussionist and recording artist with Edgetone Records, who has worked with the likes of Brian Eno, Madonna, Warren Zevon, Mickey Hart, Howard Levy and many, many others. He is also the Arts & Entertainment editor for Beyond Chron, inventor of the musical instrument, the Drummstick!

Doc’s latest project is his upcoming album “True Fire” with bansurist John Wubbenhorst, the sequel to John’s 2006 album “True Water” with percussionist Ken Anoff. This album also features music from the group Facing East. Special guests include 7 string bassist Jason Everett, keyboardist Tom Canning and vocalist Mahesh Vinayakram!

Doc continues his work with keyboardist Steve McQuarry's, “Echelon” electric quartet, featuring 2 members of his Resonance Jazz group: bassist Ted Burik and violinist Michele Walther. He is also a member the Steve McQuarry Organ Trio with guitarist David McFarland!
